Days 58 to 59: Walpole to Frankland River
You'll meander your way through amazing Tingle Tree forests, soak in vast views across to the coast and then drop down to the beautiful Frankland River with its fast-flowing waters interspersed with clear pools suitable for swimming.
Day 60: Frankland River to Giants
Frankland River to Giants campsite takes you through beautiful forest the entire way and, after spending much of the day on the forest floor, you have the spectacular Treetop Walk in the afternoon to take you into the canopy.
Day 61: Giants to Rame Head
Giants to Rame Head is a true highlight of the Bibbulmun Track with karri, tingle, myrtle, coastal heath and beaches with terrific views. For orchid and wildflower enthusiasts, this day is a cracker.
Day 62: Rame Head to Peaceful Bay
Today’s hike is relatively short at just 12km but, with sections of coastline exposed to strong gusty winds, it can be surprisingly challenging. However, many new wildflowers and fabulous coastal views make this a day to remember.
Day 63: Peaceful Bay to Boat Harbour
Peaceful Bay to Boat Harbour comprises coastal scrub, inland views, a fun paddle across an estuary, beaches, sea views and plenty of snakes. It is a truly scenic day but one of the longest of the entire thru-hike. Some rate it the hardest.
Days 64 and 65: Boat Harbour to William Bay via Parry’s Beach Campground
There is plenty to enjoy between Boat Harbour and William Bay with extraordinary wildflowers, views and variety to savour and photograph. In fact, one of the best tips given to us by another hiker was to split the standard day into two, stopping at the very pleasant Parry’s Beach campground approximately halfway between huts.
Days 66, 67 & 68: William Bay to Denmark and Rest Days in Denmark
The track from William Bay Hut to Denmark takes you over Mt Hallowell. It’s a big climb, which you can bypass, but any apprehensions are erased when you are enjoying the fantastic vistas from the top! The day finishes along Wilson Inlet, with views over the wind-whipped water.
